Daniel in the Lions' Den, lesson 5

Daniel in the Lions' Den: Lesson Five

When man's law and God's Word collide, I obey God.

They reported to the king that Daniel would not stop his petitions three times a day.

Daniel 6:13 (KJV): Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

The apostles gave the same answer when they were told to stop preaching in the name of Jesus.

Acts 5:29 (KJV): Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Man can only kill the body. God holds the soul.

Matthew 10:28 (KJV): And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
