This Privacy Policy describes what information Agape Social collects, why we collect it, and how it is used. We built this platform for faith-centered fellowship and aim to collect only what is needed to operate accounts, safety tools, and community features.

Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and limited technical data needed to run the site securely.
Account and profile information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text). You may also provide a bio, slogan, birthdate, location, gender, favorite Bible verse, avatar, profile photos, and appearance preferences. Phone numbers may be collected for verification and are stored in encrypted form.
Content you create
We store sparks, comments, reactions, group posts, Minister Blog articles, photos, reports, feedback messages, and other material you submit on the platform. This content is associated with your account for display, moderation, and audit purposes.
Communications
We process email messages sent through the platform, such as account verification, password reset, email change confirmation, and sponsor notifications. We do not use your email for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Technical and security data
Like most websites, our servers may record IP addresses, browser type, request timestamps, and error logs for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Session data keeps you logged in while you use the site.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to create and maintain your account; display your profile and content to other members according to your settings; operate groups, blogs, Bible tools, search, and the Newsfeed; verify email and phone when required; enforce our Community Rules; review reports and moderation actions; send transactional email; improve reliability and security; and comply with applicable law.
Data Retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active. If you deactivate your account, we mark it as deactivated and restrict access while keeping your data on the site; you may reactivate by signing in again and choosing a new password. If you permanently delete your account, we remove your user record and related data from our database. Some records may remain in backups or moderation history for legal, security, or operational reasons for a limited period.
Your Choices
You can update profile and account settings at any time. You may control whether certain profile fields are public. You can deactivate or permanently delete your account from Account Settings. You can clear cookies in your browser, though essential cookies are required to stay logged in and submit forms safely.
Children
Agape Social is intended for users who can form a binding agreement under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
